This highly informative, interactive program digs below the surface to provide a serious yet entertaining insight into the aims of plant breeding.

The program features a race between a farmer, a monk and a scientist to develop a new and more disease-resistant strain of wheat. The farmer knows all about traditional plant breeding methods, the monk is a genetics expert, while the scientist has all the resources of genetic engineering at his command.

When the race gets under way, each player has to decide which of the three runners is most likely to succeed in various aspects of thé breeding process.
