The kitchen-lab
This area is designed to allow children to explore food and nutrition in a practical manner - they have a go at cooking ! They make various dishes and participate in workshops on the transformation of food. The kitchen lab accommodates 12 children at a time. The kitchen and all utensils are adapted for children. Cooks and confectioners help the kids to prepare dishes and taste them on the spot. The youngsters can take their creations home - together with the recipes!

The computer restaurant
This computer game familiarises children with the food groups and their nutritional function. Children compose a meal by choosing food cards from a self-service counter. At the bar, a computer programme helps them to classify the food by food group and by their use in the body (body building, provision of energy, protection and functioning, circulation and cleansing). The child also discovers how to produce a balanced meal.

The discovery room
This area, adjacent to the kitchen lab, can be transformed into a dining room for mealtimes and birthday parties. The discovery room also contains many activities on the theme of eating. It offers a choice of games of observation and manipulation to learn more about meals in various parts of the world and different historical times, eating habits, fruits and vegetables, nutritional balance, the five senses and more.

The giant digestive tube
The child explores a giant tube from the teeth to the tummy (and beyond). In each organ, an animated cartoon and showcases explain the different stages of digestion.

The Exploration area and the Multimedia corner
What better way to learn than by trial and error, as an explorer, an observer, by touching and feeling and by asking questions ? A computer also proposes competitions and quizzes on a big screen. The games can be played individually or in teams. The computer identifies the answers and the sides.
