Welcome
Alimentarium – Food Museum - Vevey
A MUSEUM WITH A RECIPE TO SHARE
When Nestlé created the Alimentarium Foundation, it dreamed of a museum which explores all aspects of food and nutrition. This is just what the multidisciplinary Alimentarium museum does, along with a healthy serving of pedagogy. Since joining the Swiss cultural scene in June 1985, the Alimentarium museum has welcomed 1.4 million visitors and housed 33 temporary exhibitions.
The Alimentarium Museum is unique, the only one of its kind. It is part of the industrial adventure Henri Nestlé initiated 145 years ago, though it depicts food and nutrition of the past, present and future from an open, critical and general viewpoint.
The universal spoon became the Alimentarium logo in 2010 and is aptly complemented by the giant fork emerging from Lake Geneva in front of the Museum.
